What To Expect From CYTEXONE

BEFORE PROJECT BEGINS

PRIOR TO SIGNING

  • A CYTEXONE Home Automation Specialist will meet you for a consultation. Once your needs are discussed, a system design fee will be due to start the initial design of your new home automation system. The delivered design will be alterable per your request (as needed) before the project begins. Once the project moves into the creation phase, the design fee will be applied to the total cost of the project.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR WIRING INSTALLATION:

  • If you are buying a new home and we are performing work prior to your move in date, please leave the painting until after we are finished with the wiring and the speakers. When running wires, we will patch the holes, but a painter will need to paint the walls once we are finished.
  • If possible, allow for one week of audio/video setup prior to moving in. We do the majority of our work after construction is complete and carpet is down. This gives us a clean, dust free, and construction free environment for installation, and also ensure that your television, Internet, and other devices are usable when you move in.
  • If you are having wiring done, you may have to move some furniture around so we can operate within your home. Wiring is by far the messiest portion of the job but CYTEXONE makes a clean environment a priority. We wear shoe coverings and vacuum after ourselves. There is a possibility of a thin film of dust on your furniture items after the wiring is complete.
  • Please alert your CYTEXONE project manager of any particular soft flooring or other home element that needs extra consideration.

WHEN WE WORK:

  • CYTEXONE operates during the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm. Our technicians typically leave the office at 9:00am and return by 5:00pm. There will be time needed at the beginning and end of each day for setting up and cleaning up.
  • Typically, the install team will be onsite for six to eight hours a day.
  • Our systems are built in our offices, so build time in your home is very limited.
  • A CYTEXONE employee is a person you can trust. It is not necessary for you to be onsite while we work, but you are more than welcome to keep us company if you prefer.

DURING PROJECT

UPON ACCEPTANCE & WIRE ORDER
Begins when you sign a contract for your Home Automation System and deliver your initial deposit.

  • A CYTEXONE project manager will visit your home to scout your system.
  • There will be a minimum of one-week lead-time while CYTEXONE plans and schedules your custom automation system.
  • Wiring for your project at this point is ordered.

PRIOR TO TRIM ORDER

  • CYTEXONE will manage all contractors in relation to your project. As the project moves along, there will be a point when the site will be ready for the Trim pieces. Trim pieces are items used to close holes ie: speakers, touch screens, wallplates, switches.
  • The next progress payment is due in order for CYTEXONE to order Trim pieces.

PRIOR TO EQUIPMENT ORDER

  • With the arrival of the trim equipment, CYTEXONE will complete the trim installation in your home.
  • Also, wires are terminated, toned and tested. "Toning" simply means testing by a method that sends a signal, or "tone," down to the wire to determine the location of the wire. CYTEXONE also fully tests & certifies each wire to make sure all of the crimps are perfect. This is used to make sure none of the wires are damaged from being cut or nailed through before moving forward with the main system build.
  • Once received, CYTEXONE orders your larger equipment, such as televisions or other high-end electronics.
  • CYTEXONE begins building your equipment rack in office.
  • The next progress payment is due in order for CYTEXONE to order Equipment pieces.

UPON EQUIPMENT DELIVERY

  • Your equipment rack is programmed and tested in the CYTEXONE office.
  • The CYTEXONE Project Manager will ensure your home is prepared for rack delivery, and schedule said delivery. You will be notified of the specific delivery date and time range.
  • Your equipment rack is delivered and hooked up in your home. A CYTEXONE representative will be onsite to sign for your delivery in most cases.
  • Slight adjustments to programming may also be made at this time.
  • Upon delivery of your equipment rack, the next progress payment will be due.

UPON COMPLETION OF SCOPE OF WORK

  • You provide CYTEXONE with a list of any/all programming changes or adjustments needed.
  • All outstanding issues are addressed by CYTEXONE.
  • User Training is provided by CYTEXONE ensuring your comfortability with your new system and its functionality.
  • The Final Payment of 5% (of total project cost) is due when Scope of Work features are confirmed.

OTHER BITS OF INFO

PEACE OF MIND & OTHER VARIOUS THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

  • CYTEXONE is covered by a broad range insurance policy.
  • These are complex systems that sometimes exhibit anomalies (bugs) when first delivered. While we do everything we can to eliminate any issues before delivery, this is a normal part of the process and can be easily fixed.
  • As you live with the system and encounter any issues, email support@cytexone.com and we'll fix it for you remotely.
  • Many customers prefer to sign up for a Service Level Agreement to ensure perfection in their system for years to come. This option will be discussed during User Training.
  • CYTEXONE does not dispose of shipping boxes or trash. Those items will be left for your building's or home's waste management system.
  • During the installation phase you will not be able to watch TV or listen to music. Once the system is delivered, all your features will be available.
